A regional shared record system for the North East of England and Cumbria. This currently consists of an implementation of the Medical Interoperability Gateway (MIG), a system that allows secondary care clinicians to view a summary of the GP record. There are plans to update this with a full shared care record that will allow sharing at the point of care as well as for research and commissioning. It is hoped that components of the Connected Health Cities projects will form the basis of this system.
